## Executive Summary
The New England Patriots have bolstered their active roster by elevating two practice squad players ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

## Intelligence Brief
The New England Patriots have officially announced the elevation of two players from their practice squad to the active roster. According to reports from NBC Sports and the team's own official communication, the players promoted are running back Lan Larison and punter Mitch Wishnowsky. These roster moves are specifically timed for the team's upcoming Week 1 contest against the Seattle Seahawks. The game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday night, marking the beginning of the team's competitive season. Coverage of these roster changes has been widespread across several sports media outlets.

The Boston Herald and Pats Pulpit both confirm that the additions were made specifically to prepare for the showdown with the Seahawks. Yahoo Sports also reported on these call-ups, framing the move as a strategic adjustment ahead of the Week 1 game. The significance of these moves lies in the immediate need for depth at specific positions, notably at running back and punter. By elevating Lan Larison and Mitch Wishnowsky, the Patriots are filling critical gaps in their active game-day lineup. This process of promoting players from the practice squad allows the team to address personnel needs without making permanent trades or signing new free agents.

The focus on these two specific positions suggests the team's current priorities for the season opener against Seattle. Observers will now look toward the Wednesday night game to see how Lan Larison and Mitch Wishnowsky integrate into the active game plan. The primary point of interest is whether these players will see immediate action during the Week 1 contest against the Seattle Seahawks. Further updates on the Patriots' roster management are expected as the team navigates the early stages of the season and manages its practice squad rotations following the results of the opening game.
