According to reporting from KRON4, the duo shared a post about the event that has since drawn significant backlash from the public. The coverage specifies that the medical emergencies occurred during the show, necessitating hospital treatment for 14 individuals, though the specific nature of the medical issues remains unspecified in the available reporting. KRON4 is the primary outlet covering the situation, emphasizing the negative reaction to the way the duo addressed the incident on social media.

The report highlights the tension between the artists' public communication and the reality of the medical emergencies that took place during the San Jose concert. By focusing on the backlash, the coverage underscores a disconnect between the performers' presentation of the event and the experience of those affected by the health crises that occurred during the set. The situation involves a high-profile musical act and a significant number of medical evacuations from a single venue, which typically triggers scrutiny regarding venue safety and artist responsibility. The controversy is not merely about the hospitalizations themselves, but specifically about the subsequent social media post made by The Chainsmokers regarding the San Jose show.

Future developments to watch include whether the duo issues a formal apology or a clarification regarding the post that sparked the backlash. Coverage does not yet specify if there are ongoing investigations into the cause of the 14 hospitalizations or if the venue in San Jose has released a statement. Observers will likely look for further details on the specific content of the social media post and whether additional victims come forward to describe the events that took place during the performance.
