## Executive Summary
The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 consoles and accessories sell out everywhere following preorders, with one notable exception.

## Intelligence Brief
Current reporting outlines significant consumer demand surrounding the release of the Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 console and associated accessories. According to coverage from Polygon.com, these specialized anniversary editions have sold out across multiple retail locations globally, though a single exception remains where availability persists. Simultaneously, IGN reports that preorders for the hardware and companion accessories officially went live within the United Kingdom.

Coverage emphasizes the speed of the retail rollout and the immediate market response, with CNET advising consumers to secure the Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 hardware before remaining inventory is depleted entirely. Outlets such as CNET, Polygon.com, and IGN have actively tracked the release trajectory, highlighting both the widespread scarcity noted by Polygon.com and the active preorder status in the UK detailed by IGN. The timing of these hardware preorders aligns with the forty-year milestone of the iconic franchise, though exact details regarding production numbers and stock replenishment timelines remain unconfirmed by the available reports.

Readers seeking to acquire the hardware are directed to navigate the rapidly changing availability across participating retailers as tracked by the aforementioned publications. Future developments will depend on whether additional stock allocations are released to retailers or if the lone exception identified by Polygon.com also runs out of inventory. Coverage does not yet specify official shipping dates or whether accessory bundles will experience similar widespread shortages, leaving consumers to monitor ongoing updates from CNET, IGN, and Polygon.com for further purchasing guidance.
