## Executive Summary
Costco is expanding its footprint with the upcoming launch of 14 new warehouse locations across the United States and Canada.

## Intelligence Brief
Costco is initiating a significant physical expansion of its retail operations. According to reports from The Hill and Fox Business, the company is set to open 14 new warehouses in the near future. These new facilities are not limited to a single region but are being distributed across both the United States and Canada, marking a cross-border growth strategy for the wholesale giant. Coverage from Fox Business emphasizes the geographic scope of this expansion, explicitly stating that the new warehouses will be situated across the US and Canada. The Hill has also tracked this development, providing details on where these new locations are being established.

The reporting focuses on the logistical rollout of these sites and encourages consumers to identify if a new location is opening in their specific proximity. This expansion comes at a time when Costco continues to scale its membership-based business model. The addition of 14 warehouses suggests a continued investment in physical retail infrastructure despite the broader shifts toward e-commerce. By expanding into both American and Canadian markets simultaneously, the company is strengthening its presence in North America. This move allows the company to reach new customer bases and increase the total volume of warehouses available to its membership holders across two different nations.

Future developments to monitor include the specific opening dates for each of the 14 sites and the exact city or state locations for every warehouse. Current coverage from The Hill mentions that details on where these warehouses are located are available, though the broader trend focus is on the total number of planned openings. Observers will likely look for further announcements regarding staffing for these new locations or specific grand opening events as the company integrates these 14 new warehouses into its existing North American network.
