## Executive Summary
Costco is accelerating its store growth strategy with the announcement of 14 new warehouse locations across the United States and Canada.

## Intelligence Brief
Costco is implementing a significant expansion of its physical footprint, adding 14 new warehouse locations across North America. According to coverage from the New York Post and Fox Business, these new sites will be distributed across both the United States and Canada. While the total number of warehouses being added is 14, specific reports from USA Today and marthastewart.com highlight that 10 of these new locations are situated within the United States. USA Today further specifies that these 10 American locations will be spread across 9 different states, signaling a broad geographic push for the retail giant. Multiple media outlets are tracking this growth trajectory, with The Hill and Fox Business confirming the total count of 14 new warehouses.

Financial analysis from Seeking Alpha emphasizes that this move is part of a continuing store growth push for the company, which is traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol COST. The coverage suggests a coordinated effort to increase market penetration, with marthastewart.com specifically urging readers to check if a new location is coming to their immediate area, reflecting the high consumer interest in the brand's expansion. The background of this development centers on Costco's broader strategy to increase its physical presence in key markets. The consistency across reports from the New York Post and The Hill indicates that the company is moving forward with these openings soon. This expansion is a tangible manifestation of the growth goals identified by Seeking Alpha, illustrating how the retailer manages its scale within the competitive warehouse club sector across two countries.

The focus on 9 different states for the US portion of the rollout indicates a strategy of wide distribution rather than concentrated regional clustering. Observers will next be looking for the specific cities and sites for each of the 14 warehouses. While USA Today and marthastewart.com have prompted users to seek out the exact locations of the 10 US stores, the full list of all 14 sites, including the Canadian additions, remains a primary point of interest. Future updates will likely focus on the specific timelines for when these warehouses will officially open their doors to the public and how these new sites impact the overall footprint of the NASDAQ-listed company.
