Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game catalog for September 2026, featuring high-profile titles like WWE 2K26.

## Intelligence Brief
Sony has officially confirmed the additions to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game catalogs for the month of September 2026. According to reports from GameSpot and Gamereactor UK, the lineup includes several notable titles, with WWE 2K26 and RuneScape: Dragonwilds highlighted as primary additions to the service. These games are now available for subscribers of the higher-tier membership plans, expanding the library of playable content accessible to users across the PlayStation ecosystem during this monthly cycle. Coverage from multiple gaming and technology outlets emphasizes the strength of this specific update. Yahoo Tech describes the September lineup as being one of the best offerings the service has seen in a year.

This sentiment is echoed across the reporting, with Eurogamer.net providing a comprehensive list of the games arriving for both Premium and Extra members. The synchronized reporting across GameSpot and Gamereactor UK ensures that subscribers are aware of the specific titles, particularly the sports and fantasy elements brought by the WWE and RuneScape additions. To understand the significance of this update, readers must note that PlayStation Plus operates with tiered subscription levels. The Extra and Premium tiers provide access to a rotating Game Catalog, which differs from the basic monthly games offered to all members. The inclusion of a current-generation title like WWE 2K26 is a central point of interest in the current coverage, as it adds immediate value to the subscription cost for sports gaming enthusiasts and long-term RuneScape players looking for new content in Dragonwilds.

Moving forward, subscribers will be monitoring the availability of these titles within their respective libraries. While the core lineup has been confirmed by Eurogamer.net and GameSpot, users will be looking to see how these additions impact overall engagement with the Extra and Premium tiers. Future updates will likely focus on the performance of these specific titles and any further additions Sony may announce before the October cycle begins, though coverage does not yet specify additional surprise drops for the remainder of September.
