## Executive Summary
Netflix is facing boycott calls from MAGA figures over a social media post interpreted as mocking the anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination.

## Intelligence Brief
A controversy has emerged surrounding a Netflix social media post featuring a reference to a neck injury, which coincided with the anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination. According to reports from Fox News and UNILAD Tech, the streaming giant has had to break its silence and clarify the nature of the post. The content in question has triggered widespread outrage among conservative circles, leading to calls for a boycott of the platform. The dispute centers on whether the post was a deliberate attempt to mock a deceased political figure or an unrelated piece of promotional content. Coverage from several outlets emphasizes the intensity of the reaction from right-wing influencers and media personalities. Cosmic Book News reports that Jack Posobiec and the account Libs of TikTok have actively called to cancel Netflix over the post.

Similarly, GB News highlights a furious response from Ben Leo, who described the alleged mockery as repugnant. Brobible reports that Netflix has become the latest target of a political boycott, while the Hungarian Conservative notes that boycott calls are gaining traction specifically over the perceived mockery of the neck injury. To understand the stakes, the coverage indicates that the timing of the post was critical, as it appeared on the anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination. This context led critics to believe the post was a targeted joke. However, Netflix has denied these allegations. As reported by Metro, the company described the claim that the post was about Charlie Kirk as ludicrous, clarifying that the tweet was actually related to the second season of the series The Gentlemen.

The company maintains that the post had nothing to do with the assassination anniversary. Future developments depend on whether the boycott efforts led by figures like Posobiec and Libs of TikTok gain wider momentum or if Netflix's clarification suffices to end the dispute. The company continues to stand by its assertion that the post was promotional material for The Gentlemen season 2. Observers will be monitoring if further responses are issued by the affected parties or if the narrative shifts as more details about the specific tweet's connection to the show are analyzed by the public.
