## Executive Summary
BlizzCon 2026 has commenced with highly anticipated reveals concerning the futures of StarCraft, Diablo 4, and World of Warcraft.

## Intelligence Brief
BlizzCon 2026 is currently underway, beginning with an opening ceremony that serves as the primary venue for major product announcements. According to coverage from Eurogamer.net, the event is generating significant attention regarding whether a new StarCraft title will be introduced. The opening ceremony is designed to deliver these updates as they happen, providing a real-time stream of information for the gaming community. This event marks the start of a concentrated window of reveals from Blizzard, focusing on several of their most prominent intellectual properties during the scheduled programming. Multiple outlets are tracking the event's developments with different points of focus. Eurogamer.net is specifically monitoring the opening ceremony for news on StarCraft and the potential for Diablo 4 to arrive on a Switch 2 platform.

Meanwhile, Blizzard News has highlighted that attendees and viewers should tune in for updates regarding World of Warcraft throughout September 12 and 13. Additionally, MMORPG.com has contributed to the discourse by identifying five specific Diablo reveals that they are hopeful for, emphasizing the high expectations surrounding the Diablo franchise during this year's convention. The context for this trend stems from the long-standing popularity of the titles involved and the anticipation for hardware transitions. The mention of a Switch 2 in the Eurogamer.net coverage indicates a specific interest in how Blizzard's software will migrate to next-generation hardware. For World of Warcraft, the two-day window of September 12 and 13 suggests a substantial amount of content planned for the MMORPG. The desire for a new StarCraft entry highlights a gap in the series that fans and media outlets are hoping the opening ceremony will finally address with a formal announcement.

Looking forward, the focus remains on the unfolding events of the opening ceremony and the subsequent presentations. Observers are waiting to see if the hopeful predictions from MMORPG.com regarding Diablo materialize into concrete announcements. Further updates on World of Warcraft are expected to continue through September 13 as per the schedule provided by Blizzard News. The primary point of interest for the immediate future is whether the speculation regarding a new StarCraft game or the technical specifics of a Diablo 4 port for a new Nintendo console will be confirmed by the company.
