## Executive Summary
Video evidence surfaces showing an IDF soldier shooting a Palestinian man in the leg during a clash involving settlers in the northern West Bank.

## Intelligence Brief
A Palestinian man has been shot in the leg during a violent confrontation involving Israeli soldiers and settlers in the northern West Bank. The incident occurred near Jenin, specifically in the area of Fuqoua, where the individual was injured by gunfire. According to reports from The Guardian and Ynetnews, video footage has emerged that captures the moment an IDF soldier shot the Palestinian man in the legs while the individual was standing directly before him. This event took place amid a broader standoff involving Israeli colonists and local Palestinians. Coverage of the event is widespread across several major news outlets. The Guardian highlights the presence of video footage of the shooting, while Ynetnews notes that the IDF has officially characterized the incident as being under investigation.

Haaretz has provided live updates on the situation, confirming the IDF's statement that troops fired at the Palestinian man near Jenin during the clash. Meanwhile, the WAFA Agency reports that the injury occurred during an attack by Israeli colonists in Fuqoua, emphasizing the role of the settlers in the escalation. To understand the current stakes, the coverage places this incident within the context of ongoing frictions in the northern West Bank. The involvement of both the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli colonists in a single confrontation indicates a complex security environment near Jenin. The presence of filmed evidence has shifted the narrative from a standard report of a clash to a specific investigation into the conduct of a single soldier. The geographical focus on Fuqoua suggests this specific location was a flashpoint for the current violence between settlers and residents.

Future developments will likely center on the results of the official IDF investigation mentioned by Ynetnews. Observers will be watching to see if the military releases further details regarding the rules of engagement applied during the standoff near Jenin. Because the shooting was captured on film, the focus remains on the specific actions of the soldier filmed and whether the military's internal probe will lead to disciplinary actions or a change in the reported sequence of events. Coverage does not yet specify the current medical condition of the injured man.
