## Executive Summary
Weather conditions at Fenway Park have forced a scheduling shift for the series finale between the Boston Red Sox and the Kansas City Royals.

## Intelligence Brief
According to reports from The Boston Globe and WCVB, rain has caused a delay to the start time of the contest. The game is taking place at Fenway Park, where the weather has necessitated a shift in the original schedule. The Boston Globe specifically reports that the first pitch is now scheduled for 4:55 p.m., reflecting the immediate adjustment made by team officials to accommodate the rainfall. Multiple media outlets are tracking the situation as it unfolds in Boston. MLB.com has confirmed that the start time for this specific matchup, which serves as the series finale between the two teams, was pushed back due to the weather.

Local coverage from WCVB and national sports content from Fansided.com have both provided updates on the start time and the ongoing forecast from the Boston area. These reports emphasize the instability of the weather and the resulting uncertainty regarding when the game will actually commence. This situation matters because it involves the conclusion of the series between the Royals and the Red Sox. The necessity of a rain delay at an iconic venue like Fenway Park often creates logistical challenges for both the teams and the attending fans. Because this is the series finale, the timing of the game is critical for the teams' schedules.

Coverage from Over the Monster highlights the ongoing nature of the threat, noting that the rain continues to pose a risk of further delays beyond the initial schedule adjustment already announced by the league. Observers are now monitoring whether the 4:55 p.m. start time provided by The Boston Globe will hold or if additional postponements will occur. Fansided.com continues to provide updated forecasts from Boston to determine if the rain will subside sufficiently for play to begin. The primary focus remains on the weather patterns surrounding Fenway Park and the official communications from MLB.com regarding the series finale. Further updates will depend on whether the current rain threatens to push the start time back even further as suggested by Over the Monster.
