## Executive Summary
Sony has officially scheduled release dates for 2027 for '24 Jump Street' and Ridley Scott's 'Treasure Island' remake.

## Intelligence Brief
Sony has announced the 2027 release schedule for several upcoming film projects, most notably '24 Jump Street' and a remake of 'Treasure Island'. According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter and TheWrap, both films are slated for release in 2027. The 'Treasure Island' project is a pirate movie directed by Ridley Scott and featuring Hugh Jackman. Deadline notes that these two films are part of a larger group of titles that received 2027 release dates from the studio, although the specific dates for every single project were not detailed in all reports. Coverage of these announcements has been widespread across major entertainment trade publications. Variety reports that both '24 Jump Street' and the Hugh Jackman-led 'Treasure Island' are specifically targeting holiday 2027 release windows.

This timing is further corroborated by IGN, which stated that '24 Jump Street' is officially releasing next year, given the current date. The reports from Yahoo and TheWrap emphasize the long-awaited nature of the 'Treasure Island' date, framing it as a significant update for the Ridley Scott production. To understand the significance of these announcements, it is necessary to note the high-profile nature of the talent involved. The 'Treasure Island' remake brings together an established director in Ridley Scott and an established actor in Hugh Jackman for a pirate-themed narrative. Meanwhile, '24 Jump Street' serves as a continuation or evolution of a known franchise. The decision by Sony to place these titles in the 2027 calendar suggests a strategic rollout of their major intellectual property and high-budget remakes for the coming years.

Moving forward, observers will be looking for more specific calendar dates beyond the general holiday 2027 window. While the coverage from Deadline indicates that other films also received dates, the primary focus remains on the Scott and Jump Street projects. Future updates are expected to clarify the exact release days for these titles as Sony continues to finalize its 2027 slate. For now, the confirmed details remain the studio's identity, the year of release, and the primary creative leads for the pirate movie.
