## Executive Summary
Joy Behar, 83, is absent from 'The View' following a serious on-set shoulder injury that triggered a last-minute moderator shake-up.

## Intelligence Brief
Joy Behar has been forced to miss appearances on 'The View' after sustaining a serious injury while on set. According to reports from Yahoo and Page Six, the 83-year-old personality suffered a dislocated shoulder, which has resulted in her absence from the program. This physical setback has led to an immediate change in the show's leadership structure for the affected episodes. Specifically, Sunny Hostin has stepped into the moderator seat to lead the broadcast, a move described by AOL.com as a rare fill-in appearance in the moderator role. The coverage of this event is being tracked across several entertainment and news platforms. Yahoo has highlighted the specific nature of the injury as a shoulder dislocation and the resulting moderator shake-up.

Page Six emphasizes Behar's age and the seriousness of the on-set accident. Meanwhile, AOL.com focuses on the rarity of Sunny Hostin taking over the moderating duties. IMDb has also provided coverage explaining the reasons behind Behar's absence from the set, ensuring viewers understand why the veteran host is not appearing in her usual capacity. Contextual tension surrounding the show's leadership is also present in the current discourse. The Mirror US reports on a perceived power struggle occurring within the production. This report suggests that the absence of Whoopi Goldberg has previously left co-hosts feeling frustrated, particularly during periods when Joy Behar took over the leadership duties.

The current situation, where Behar herself is now injured and unable to perform, adds another layer of instability to the moderating rotation that has characterized recent episodes of the talk show. Future developments will likely center on the recovery timeline for Joy Behar and the continued arrangement of the moderating seat. Current reports establish that Sunny Hostin is currently filling the void left by Behar's dislocation. Observers will be monitoring whether the moderating duties remain with Hostin or shift back to other co-hosts. Coverage does not yet specify a return date for Behar, but the immediate focus remains on the last-minute adjustments made to the production schedule to accommodate her medical absence.
