## Executive Summary
A former IDF colonel warns of a new Iranian terror tactic involving the potential recruitment of airline pilots for high-impact attacks.

## Intelligence Brief
Current reports indicate a multifaceted escalation in Iranian strategic activities, ranging from digital interference to warnings of physical terrorism. A former IDF colonel has issued a specific warning, as reported by the New York Post, regarding a terrifying new terror tactic. This strategy allegedly involves turning airline pilots into attackers in a manner similar to the events of September 11. This warning suggests a shift toward high-risk, high-visibility asymmetric threats that could target aviation infrastructure and safety on a global scale. Coverage from multiple outlets emphasizes the breadth of Iran's current approach to conflict.

The New York Post focuses on the specific threat posed by recruited pilots, while WTOP News provides analysis on whether Iran is actively taking its war abroad. Simultaneously, an investigation detailed by The Jerusalem Post reveals that Iran-linked social media accounts have been posing as Israelis. The primary objective of these deceptive accounts is to target elections, indicating a coordinated effort to influence political processes through digital impersonation and misinformation campaigns. To understand the current stakes, readers must look at the broader context of asymmetric warfare. The Independent is exploring the knowns and unknowns of how Iran utilizes these non-traditional warfare methods to project power without engaging in direct, conventional military conflict.

Furthermore, the Hudson Institute has released findings regarding Iran's links to recent terrorist plots, suggesting that the pilot warning is part of a larger pattern of clandestine operations designed to destabilize opponents and create insecurity across international borders. Future developments to watch involve the verification of these terror plots and the outcomes of the investigation into election interference. Based on the reporting from The Jerusalem Post, the impact of the social media impersonation campaign on election integrity remains a critical point of interest. Additionally, the analysis from WTOP News regarding the internationalization of the war suggests a need to monitor further evidence of Iran's global reach. The security community will likely be watching for concrete evidence supporting the claims made by the former IDF colonel concerning aviation threats.
