## Executive Summary
Musician Tom Morello delivers a stark warning against fascism during a series of high-profile media appearances and a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

## Intelligence Brief
Central to this trend is a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where Morello performed alongside his son, Roman Morello. The duo played a song titled “Soldier in the Army of Love,” a performance that has been characterized as a high-energy rock set. In tandem with this musical appearance, Morello has issued a blunt statement regarding political violence and ideology, asserting that if something kills like fascism, then it is fascism. Coverage of these events is widespread across entertainment and music industry outlets. Rolling Stone has focused on Morello's direct quote regarding fascism, while Billboard describes the Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance as a "politically-charged" performance.

Consequence of Sound has provided a way for audiences to watch the performance of “Soldier in the Army of Love.” Additionally, The Contrarian reports that Morello is "still raging," suggesting a continuation of his long-term history of activism and provocative public commentary. To understand the current relevance of this trend, readers should note the collaborative nature of Morello's recent work. Vulture has provided context on the personal relationship between Tom and Roman Morello, detailing the specific media they watch and the music they listen to together. This highlights a generational bridge in the Morello family's approach to art and politics. The timing of these appearances suggests a deliberate effort to use a mainstream late-night platform to broadcast a specific political message through the medium of rock music.

Future developments to monitor include the reception of the performance and any further statements Morello may make regarding the definition of fascism. Since the coverage emphasizes the "politically-charged" nature of the Kimmel appearance, subsequent reporting may focus on the public or political reaction to his assertions. Observers will likely look for more details on the collaboration between Tom and Roman Morello as they continue to share a musical and ideological connection in the public eye.
