## Intelligence Brief
The New York Yankees have officially finalized their roster for the upcoming American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays, and Aaron Judge is not included in the lineup. According to reports from Yahoo Sports and LancasterOnline, the decision comes as Judge continues to recover from a calf strain. The absence of the star player marks a significant roster shift for the team as they prepare to enter the postseason matchup against the Rays. The exclusion is a concrete move by the organization to manage Judge's current physical condition during the critical transition into the Division Series. Coverage from FOX Sports, Yahoo Sports, and LancasterOnline emphasizes the gravity of this roster decision. Yahoo Sports specifically highlights Judge's status as a three-time MVP, underscoring the high level of talent that the Yankees will be missing during this specific series.

FOX Sports focused on the timing of the roster decision, noting that the Yankees have now made their final call regarding Judge's availability for the 2026 ALDS. These outlets collectively present the news as a definitive tactical and medical decision by the New York Yankees management. To understand the stakes of this development, it is necessary to note that Aaron Judge serves as a cornerstone of the Yankees offense. His status as a three-time MVP indicates his historical impact on the game and his role as a primary offensive threat. The injury in question is a calf strain, a type of injury that typically affects mobility and power, making his participation in a high-intensity series against the Rays a risk for the organization. This context explains why his absence is a focal point of current sports reporting as the team navigates the postseason.

Moving forward, the focus remains on the Yankees' performance in the Division Series against the Rays without their primary star. Based on the stated facts, watchers will be monitoring Judge's recovery progress from the calf strain. Coverage does not yet specify a return date or a timeline for his rehabilitation, but the team's success in the ALDS will now depend on the remaining players listed on the active roster. Future updates will likely center on whether the calf strain improves sufficiently for potential later rounds of the playoffs, though current rosters are set.
