## Executive Summary
Meta launches the Nova Gen 3 Ray-Ban glasses featuring enhanced battery life and microphones, expanding its market reach into India.

## Intelligence Brief
Meta has introduced the Nova (Gen 3) Ray-Ban glasses, a new iteration of its wearable technology. According to Nacionale News, the hardware updates for this generation specifically focus on providing better battery life and integrating more advanced microphones for the user. These glasses have now officially gone on sale in India, where they are priced at INR 44,300, as reported by MIXED Reality News. While the Gen 3 hardware is now available for purchase, MIXED Reality News further notes that the Muse feature or product remains several months away from release. Coverage of the launch is spread across several technology and news outlets with varying perspectives on the value and impact of the device. Digital Camera World provided a hands-on test of the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, describing the experience as being both brilliant and profoundly unsettling at the same time.

Meanwhile, Joe's Daily is examining the long-term value of the Meta Ray-Ban Display, questioning if the hardware remains worth a $799 price tag after one year of use. These reports indicate a focus on both the technical specifications and the psychological impact of the display technology. To support the expansion into the Indian market, Ray-Ban has implemented a strategic marketing push. ContentGrip reports that the company has named Ranveer Singh as its first ambassador for India, signaling a focused effort to increase brand visibility in that region. This move coincides with the availability of the glasses at the INR 44,300 price point. The context of this release suggests a push toward mainstreaming smart glasses by combining high-profile celebrity endorsements with incremental hardware improvements in battery and audio capture.

Future developments to monitor include the eventual release of Muse, which MIXED Reality News indicates is still months away. Observers will likely track how the Indian market responds to the specific pricing and the influence of Ranveer Singh's ambassadorship. Additionally, ongoing reviews from outlets like Digital Camera World and Joe's Daily will provide further data on whether the updated battery life and microphones justify the cost for long-term users. The trajectory of the Nova Gen 3 will depend on these performance metrics and the arrival of pending software features.
