## Intelligence Brief
PlatinumGames has issued statements regarding the future of the Bayonetta franchise and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. According to reports from Eurogamer.net, Insider Gaming, and MyNintendoNews, the leadership at PlatinumGames has expressed a desire to broaden the world of Bayonetta. Specifically, the studio has indicated that they are eager to expand Bayonetta as a character and to further develop the broader world in which the series is set. These comments come as the gaming industry anticipates the release of Nintendo's next hardware iteration, which Nintendo Everything identifies as the Nintendo Switch 2. Coverage of these developments is widespread across several gaming-focused outlets. MyNintendoNews highlights the specific language used by the studio, noting their eagerness to grow the character's reach.

Insider Gaming focuses on the ambition of the PlatinumGames boss to expand the franchise's world. Furthermore, Eurogamer.net reports that the director of Stellar Blade has weighed in on the series, describing the Bayonetta franchise as being indispensable. Other outlets providing coverage of these statements and the mention of Nintendo's next console include Nintendo Life and Nintendo Everything. To understand why these comments are significant, it is necessary to look at the relationship between PlatinumGames and Nintendo. The Bayonetta series has a long-standing history with Nintendo platforms, making any mention of the Nintendo Switch 2 particularly relevant to the community. The endorsement from the director of Stellar Blade adds external industry weight to the status of Bayonetta, framing the series as a fundamental piece of the action genre.

The desire to expand the character suggests that the studio is looking beyond the existing narrative framework established in previous entries. Future developments to monitor include formal announcements regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 and any official project reveals from PlatinumGames. While the studio has offered a brief comment on the future of Bayonetta, coverage does not yet specify whether a new game is currently in production or if the expansion will take other forms. Observers will be looking for further confirmation on how the studio intends to broaden the world and whether these plans are tied directly to the hardware capabilities of the successor to the Nintendo Switch.
