## Executive Summary
NBA 2K25 is facing a complete sunsetting process with imminent store delisting and a full server shutdown scheduled for December 31, 2026.

## Intelligence Brief
The basketball simulation title NBA 2K25 is scheduled for removal from digital storefronts and a total cessation of server operations. According to coverage from Video Games Chronicle, the game is being delisted later this month, meaning it will no longer be available for purchase. Following this removal, all servers are slated to shut down on December 31, 2026. This shutdown is comprehensive in scope, as reports from GameSpot and Video Games Chronicle confirm that the closure will affect not only online components but also the single-player story mode. Multiple gaming outlets are highlighting the severity of these closures.

Nintendo Life describes the situation as the game sounding the buzzer on its best game modes. Meanwhile, ixbt.games notes that one of the best basketball simulators is being removed from Steam and other digital stores. The reporting across Instant Gaming News and other sources emphasizes the specific end-of-year deadline, ensuring players are aware that the window to access the title's features is closing rapidly. This development is significant because the server shutdown encompasses the single-player experience. While many games maintain offline functionality after servers close, the coverage specifies that the story mode is tied to the servers being shut down.

This means that once the December 31 date passes, users will lose access to a substantial portion of the game's content, regardless of whether they are playing alone or with others online. Attention now turns to the final weeks of the game's availability. Since the delisting is occurring later this month, new users have a very limited timeframe to acquire the game before it disappears from Steam and other platforms. After the delisting, the focus will shift to the December 31 deadline, which marks the final date for any server-dependent activity, including the aforementioned single-player story mode.
