## Executive Summary
Major 2026 blockbuster console games have received their first significant discounts during an Amazon Prime sale event.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent reporting from 9to5Toys indicates that early fall Prime Day sales have officially commenced, bringing the first major price cuts to prominent PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch video games. The discounted titles currently featured in the promotional lineup include LEGO Batman Dark Knight, Resident Evil, and the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, among various other unspecified releases. According to the coverage provided by 9to5Toys, the promotional event is structured specifically as a limited-time window.

The publication outlines specific platform categories for the sale, separating the promotional items across both Sony's PlayStation 5 and Nintendo's Switch hardware ecosystems. This early fall promotional activity arrives within the broader context of seasonal retail sales events traditionally hosted by major online platforms like Amazon. While the coverage does not explicitly detail the exact pricing figures or percentage markdowns for each game, it documents that the current discounts apply to notable multi-platform franchises and recent blockbusters that previously maintained their standard launch prices since release.

Coverage does not yet specify whether additional titles will be added to the sale before the current timeframe elapses, nor does it detail stock availability levels for the physical or digital copies included in the early fall Prime Day promotions.
