## Executive Summary
Macklin Celebrini was a late scratch from the Sharks lineup due to a lower-body injury, according to recent sports coverage.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent reporting across multiple sports outlets documents a notable roster development involving the San Jose Sharks and player Macklin Celebrini. Coverage indicates that Celebrini was a late scratch from the lineup due to a lower-body injury. Following this unexpected absence, the team faced the Dallas Stars without him on the ice. The Dallas Stars ultimately won the game against the Sharks, with goaltender Oettinger earning his seventeenth career shutout during the matchup. Details regarding the exact severity of the injury remain limited, as current reports state only that Celebrini is currently being evaluated for a lower-body issue.

Media organizations including NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, Yahoo Sports, NHL.com, sportsnet.ca, and San Jose Hockey Now have published reports detailing the events surrounding the game and the roster change. Yahoo Sports specifically highlighted comments from Ty Dellandrea regarding the late call to play and the team's adjustment to playing without Celebrini. Meanwhile, NHL.com coverage through Heika’s Take emphasized that the Dallas Stars broke an early-season slump by pairing an offensive outburst with the shutout victory over the Sharks, while San Jose Hockey Now broke the initial news of the late injury scratch. This development intersects with the early portion of the hockey season, a time when teams are attempting to establish momentum and navigate initial performance slumps. The Stars utilized the game to break their offensive drought, securing a decisive win against a shorthanded opponent.

For the Sharks, playing without a key roster member like Celebrini introduced immediate lineup adjustments, as reflected in Ty Dellandrea's remarks about receiving a late call to enter the game and having to adapt on short notice to the sudden roster void. As coverage does not yet specify a timeline for recovery or further diagnostic results, observers and fans must look to upcoming team announcements for updates. Future reports from outlets tracking the Sharks will determine whether Celebrini will miss additional games or return to the lineup soon. The coverage does not specify further details regarding treatment or the exact mechanism of the lower-body injury, leaving the immediate next steps dependent on official team medical evaluations.
