## Executive Summary
The Seattle Seahawks are moving to sign veteran Pro Bowler Joe Mixon to their practice squad following a series of backfield injuries.

## Intelligence Brief
The Seattle Seahawks are currently in the process of signing veteran running back Joe Mixon to their practice squad. According to reports from NFL.com, the team is actively going through the procedural steps required to finalize this addition to their roster. The move comes as the Seahawks address critical gaps in their offensive backfield. The addition of the former Houston Texans player is a direct response to recent personnel losses, specifically an injury to Jadarian Price, which has left the team in need of experienced depth at the running back position. Coverage of this move has been widespread across several major news outlets. The New York Times reports that Mixon is joining the team specifically in the wake of these running back injuries.

Yahoo Sports highlights Mixon's status as an ex-Texans Pro Bowler, emphasizing the level of experience he brings to the Seattle roster. Additionally, The Seattle Times has confirmed that the veteran is expected to sign, while Fox News characterizes the move as the Seahawks giving Mixon another chance in the NFL following what the outlet describes as a backfield disaster for the organization. This development is significant because of the timing and the state of the Seahawks' current roster. The team has faced a series of setbacks in their backfield, leading to the urgent need for a reliable veteran. By targeting Joe Mixon, a player with a Pro Bowl pedigree, Seattle is attempting to stabilize a position that has become volatile due to injuries. The coverage suggests that the team views Mixon as a viable solution to mitigate the impact of Jadarian Price's absence and the overall lack of available healthy running backs on the active roster.

Looking forward, the primary point of interest is the completion of the signing process mentioned by NFL.com. Observers will be watching to see if Mixon is promoted from the practice squad to the active roster to take over primary duties in the backfield. The focus remains on whether this addition can resolve the personnel crisis described by Fox News and provide the stability needed for the Seahawks' offense moving forward. Further updates are expected as the team finalizes the paperwork and integrates the veteran into their current offensive system.
