## Executive Summary
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby is headed to injured reserve following a core muscle injury that requires surgery.

## Intelligence Brief
The Philadelphia Eagles have placed running back Tank Bigsby on injured reserve following an injury sustained during Sunday's game. According to reports from NBC Sports, Bigsby suffered a core muscle injury that will necessitate surgical intervention. This move to the injured reserve list comes after the player exited the game on Sunday, as noted by coverage from AL.com. The decision to proceed with surgery confirms the severity of the injury and removes him from the active roster for a period of time. Multiple media outlets are reporting on the development, with NBC Sports specifically identifying the nature of the injury as a core muscle issue. 6abc Philadelphia cited sources to confirm that Bigsby will undergo surgery and is headed to the IR list.

ESPN and Bleeding Green Nation have also covered the news, with the latter emphasizing the official move to injured reserve. The collective reporting across these sports and local news platforms highlights the immediate impact of the injury on the Eagles' backfield depth. The timing of the injury, occurring during a Sunday game, leaves the team to adjust its strategy for the running back position. Because Bigsby is moving to the injured reserve list rather than a shorter-term injury report, he will be unavailable for multiple upcoming contests. The core muscle injury is the primary reason for the surgical requirement mentioned in the reports.

Future attention will be focused on the recovery timeline for Tank Bigsby, although the current coverage does not specify a exact return date or the length of his absence. Observers will likely monitor how the Eagles manage their running back rotation in the wake of this surgery. The team's next moves regarding roster management will be critical as they navigate the loss of Bigsby to the IR. Updates on the success of the surgical procedure and the start of his rehabilitation process are the primary points to watch next.
