Alabama tight end Josh Ford is attempting a rapid return to play against Georgia following surgery for a broken arm.

## Intelligence Brief
Alabama tight end Josh Ford has suffered a broken arm, an injury that occurred during the team's victory over Mississippi State. According to reports from ESPN and 247Sports, Ford underwent surgery to address the fracture three days ago. Despite the severity of the injury and the recent medical procedure, Ford remains determined to play in the upcoming game against Georgia. This situation was highlighted by head coach Kalen DeBoer, who announced the unfortunate news regarding Ford's condition prior to the matchup with Georgia. Coverage from Fox News emphasizes Ford's determination to return to the field quickly. Meanwhile, AL.com reports that Ford is one of two Alabama players listed as questionable on the team's first availability report before the Georgia game.

The reporting across these outlets, including Yahoo Sports, focuses on the tension between the player's desire to compete and the physical reality of a postoperative recovery timeline. The updates arrive as the program navigates the roster challenges leading into a high-stakes game. Context provided by 247Sports confirms the injury took place during Alabama's win over Mississippi State. This timing means the injury happened during a successful outing for the team, but it leaves the tight end position in a state of uncertainty for the Georgia contest. The news of the broken arm was delivered by coach Kalen DeBoer, framing it as unfortunate news for the roster. The presence of Ford on the availability report indicates that the coaching staff is still weighing his readiness to return after surgery.

Looking forward, the focus remains on whether Ford will be cleared for the Georgia game. Current reports from AL.com show he is officially listed as questionable. Additionally, Fox News notes that while the team manages the injury status of its players, officials are also planning for the arrival of Hurricane Isaias. Observers will be watching for updated availability reports to see if Ford's determination leads to an active status or if the recovery from surgery prevents his participation.
