## Executive Summary
Def Leppard has announced a massive 45-date North American tour for 2027, featuring the Goo Goo Dolls as a touring partner.

## Intelligence Brief
Def Leppard is launching a comprehensive North American tour scheduled for 2027. According to JamBase, the itinerary consists of 45 dates and features the Goo Goo Dolls as a touring partner. The tour includes stops in several major cities across the United States, including Pittsburgh, Sacramento, and Detroit. In Mobile, Alabama, the band is scheduled to perform at the Regions Arena on April 20, 2027, a detail confirmed by both mynbc15.com and AL.com. The tour will also bring the musicians to Columbus, Ohio, and San Antonio, Texas, where KABB notes that Def Leppard and Staind are both bringing major rock tours to the city in 2027. Extensive coverage of the tour announcement has been provided by various regional and national outlets.

CBS News has reported on the band's return to Sacramento and their planned stop in Pittsburgh. Local news sources such as 10TV have highlighted the Columbus date, while The Detroit News focused on the pairing of Def Leppard with a resurgent rock group from the 1990s. Ultimate Classic Rock has categorized the announcement as a massive tour for the North American market. The Goo Goo Dolls are consistently named as the primary companion act for these performances across multiple reported cities. Context for the tour is provided by Cleveland.com, which notes that Def Leppard's upcoming visit to Cleveland will be the band's first time returning to that city since its stadium tour in 2024. This timeline establishes the gap between the band's previous large-scale outings and the upcoming 2027 schedule.

The inclusion of the Goo Goo Dolls adds a cross-generational rock element to the tour, with The Detroit News specifically referencing the 1990s era of the accompanying group. These details indicate a strategy of pairing classic rock legacies with later resurgent rock acts. Future developments to monitor include the specific dates and venue details for the remainder of the 45-date schedule. While specific dates have been provided for Mobile, coverage does not yet specify the exact dates for the Sacramento, Pittsburgh, Columbus, or Detroit stops. Observers will likely look for further announcements regarding ticket sales and potential additional dates as the 2027 tour window approaches. The industry will also monitor how this tour integrates with other major rock tours arriving in cities like San Antonio during the same year.
