Coverage of the death varies by outlet. The Economic Times devoted its story to Patekar’s net worth, listing assets such as his Mumbai apartment, his Goa residence, cars and sources of income, underscoring public interest in his financial profile.

Hindustan Times focused on the medical cause and the setting of the cardiac event.
