## Executive Summary
Sean Payton is reportedly resuming offensive play-calling duties for the Denver Broncos ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Chargers.

## Intelligence Brief
Sean Payton is set to resume calling offensive plays for the Denver Broncos, according to reports from NBC Sports. This shift comes as Payton reportedly strips Davis Webb of his play-calling duties before the team faces the Chargers. The transition is described by Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan as a change that is already underway within the organization. This internal reorganization marks a significant shift in how the Broncos will manage their offensive strategy for the immediate future. Coverage of this development is widespread across several major sports outlets. Bleacher Report specifically notes that Payton has stripped Webb of these responsibilities, while Brandon Stokley, speaking via Broncos Wire, confirms that Payton is taking the play-calling duties back this week.

Yahoo Sports highlights that Payton has discussed details of the situation amid continuing criticism directed at Webb. Meanwhile, ESPN Insiders had previously predicted that Payton might make a major change regarding the Broncos' operational structure. To understand the current stakes, it is necessary to note the tension regarding the team's offensive execution. While the transition of power is a central theme, ESPN reports that Payton himself expressed concerns regarding specific details rather than focusing solely on the act of play-calling. This distinction suggests that the move is tied to a broader need for precision in the offense. The reported move occurs against a backdrop of public and internal scrutiny regarding Webb's performance in his previous role as the primary play-caller.

Observers will now monitor the practical application of this change during the Broncos vs. The focus remains on whether Payton's direct involvement in play-calling addresses the concerns mentioned in the coverage. Future reports are expected to clarify the exact nature of Davis Webb's remaining responsibilities now that he no longer holds play-calling authority. The team's performance in the upcoming game will serve as the first tangible evidence of this structural shift under Payton's resumed lead.
