## Executive Summary
A missile attack on Riyadh airport causes multiple casualties, leading to airport closures and international responses.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent coverage from outlets including AP News, Reuters, Iran International, NDTV, The Times of Israel, Al Jazeera, and Yahoo details a missile attack targeting an airport in Saudi Arabia's capital city of Riyadh. According to reporting, the incident has resulted in the closure of the international airport after passenger terminals were struck. The casualty figures reported by sources such as AP News, NDTV, and Al Jazeera indicate that 12 people were killed and over 300 individuals sustained injuries. Initial reports cited lower figures, but the toll rose as hospital and official sources provided updates on the aftermath of the impact. Media organizations have heavily emphasized the operational disruption and the broader implications for the region.

Yahoo and Al Jazeera note that this event marks the third attack this week, highlighting visible damage inside the airport facility. Despite the severity of the incident and the evacuation of the international airport, Reuters reports that major upcoming Saudi conferences are still scheduled to proceed according to event organisers. The coverage captures statements from international figures, with The Times of Israel reporting that Trump characterized the attack on the Riyadh airport as unacceptable. The context provided across the various news reports highlights escalating tensions involving Houthi forces and potential foreign policy reactions. Iran International reports that the United States is currently weighing possible military strikes against both the Houthis and Iran following the deadly event at the Saudi airport.

Yahoo notes that these consecutive attacks pose a direct threat to Saudi confidence, given the strategic importance of the capital's aviation hub and the frequency of security breaches occurring within a single week. Looking forward, coverage does not yet specify a timeline for the reopening of Riyadh airport or the precise nature of any impending United States military response. Observers and news agencies will continue to monitor official statements from Saudi authorities regarding repairs and security assessments at the terminal. Further updates are expected regarding the status of the planned major Saudi conferences and whether international travel restrictions or diplomatic measures will shift in the wake of the missile strikes.
