Danny Trejo denies supporting ICE after casting backlash involving a Daily Wire film.

## Intelligence Brief
Actor Danny Trejo has issued a denial regarding his stance on ICE following public backlash over his involvement in a new film project. According to coverage from outlets including Yahoo, Deadline, TMZ, The Hill, Complex, Consequence of Sound, and The Independent, the controversy centers on his casting in a movie titled Pawn Shop. The project is associated with the Daily Wire and has been described in coverage as a pro-ICE film. The resulting negative response prompted the actor to publicly clarify his position. Coverage emphasizes statements made by the actor himself as well as comments from his son regarding the circumstances of the casting.

Yahoo, Deadline, and Complex report that the actor's son stated his father had never heard of Ben Shapiro before signing onto the project. The son characterized the situation strongly, describing the actor as being handcuffed to a stupid project and calling the development messed up. Consequence of Sound, The Independent, TMZ, and The Hill document the actor's direct response to the controversy, where he explicitly stated that he is not pro-ICE. The background to this developing trend involves public scrutiny over political associations in entertainment casting. The involvement of the Daily Wire and figures like Ben Shapiro serves as a focal point for the discussion surrounding the Pawn Shop movie.

Coverage does not yet specify whether the actor plans to withdraw from the project or take further steps regarding the controversy, leaving the immediate professional implications unclear. Observers and followers of the story will be watching to see how the production and the actor handle the ongoing backlash. Coverage notes the swift public denials from the actor and the defensive remarks from his family, but does not state any official response from the studio or other cast members. Future updates will depend on whether additional statements are released by the actor, his representatives, or the producers of the film.
