## Executive Summary
Ethiopian government forces enter the strategic Tigray town of Adwa and the regional capital as the region shifts following a rebel pullout.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent coverage from outlets including Al Jazeera, AP News, Business Insider Africa, Africanews English, and WJBF documents significant developments in the Tigray region. Ethiopian government forces have entered the key Tigray town of Adwa near the Eritrea border, according to witness accounts. Meanwhile, Ethiopian troops have retaken the Tigray regional capital. In this capital, Ethiopian police have asked local residents to help restore order following a rebel pullout. Additionally, Africa's biggest airline has returned to Tigray's capital.

Reporting across these various publications emphasizes several core operational updates on the ground. Business Insider Africa highlights that the return of Africa's biggest airline to the regional capital occurred eighteen days after rebels seized its airport and halted flights. AP News notes that an Ethiopian official has promised change in Tigray subsequent to troops retaking the regional capital. Meanwhile, Africanews English and Al Jazeera focus on the physical entry of government forces into Adwa and the regional capital. Context provided by the coverage outlines the operational timeline and infrastructural stakes in the region.

Prior to the current troop entries and police appeals, rebels had seized the airport in Tigray's capital, which completely halted flights for eighteen days. Furthermore, the rebel pullout from the regional capital has created a security vacuum that local police are now attempting to address with the assistance of residents. Coverage does not yet specify the long-term governance structures or the full extent of infrastructural damage resulting from the conflict. Readers and analysts tracking these events will need to monitor further updates from AP News, Al Jazeera, and other reporting outlets regarding the restoration of order by police, the full resumption of airline schedules, and the administrative changes promised by Ethiopian officials.
