Ukraine resumes drone strikes on Russian oil refineries amid mounting frustration with United States leadership.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent reporting indicates that Ukraine has officially resumed its military strikes targeting Russian oil refineries. The concurrent events include a specific drone attack that successfully caused a fire at Russia's Ryazan refinery, a development confirmed directly by the regional governor. This marks a notable escalation in the ongoing conflict as targeted energy infrastructure operations recommence. Major international news organizations are actively tracking these developments, emphasizing the sharp rhetoric and the immediate operational consequences on the ground.

Outlets such as Yahoo, DW.com, Reuters, and CBC highlight the direct connection between Ukrainian statements and the renewed assault on Russian facilities. The coverage details how Zelenskiy conveyed a definitive stance with the phrase we are done, signaling a clear departure from previous restraint regarding energy sector targets. The context surrounding these events involves sustained geopolitical tensions and strategic calculations regarding energy assets within the broader conflict zone. Previous phases of the war saw intermittent pauses or strategic shifts concerning strikes on oil infrastructure, making this current resumption a critical juncture for observers tracking military tactics.

Coverage does not yet specify the long-term strategic adjustments or the full extent of the diplomatic fallout between Kyiv and Washington, but the immediate tactical focus on refineries is thoroughly established by the participating outlets. Future updates will depend on official verifications from regional authorities and military spokespersons regarding the damage at the Ryazan facility and potential retaliatory measures. Readers and analysts should monitor ongoing reports from the named news organizations for further details on how the resumption of these refinery attacks influences broader diplomatic relations and the trajectory of the conflict. Coverage does not yet specify the exact timeline for subsequent planned operations or specific responses from international allies.
