## Executive Summary
Broncos cling to a strong defense as quarterback Bo Nix’s slump sparks calls for a drastic change.

## Intelligence Brief
The Denver Broncos have endured a brutal six‑game stretch, during which their defense has been the primary factor keeping the team competitive. At the same time, starting quarterback Bo Nix has been described as mired in a worsening slump, with his play drawing sharp criticism from observers. The contrast between a resilient defense and a struggling quarterback has become a focal point of the franchise’s current narrative. Coverage of the situation varies by outlet.

WRAL emphasizes the defense’s role in surviving the recent stretch while noting Nix’s decline. CBS Sports frames the issue as a “Bo Nix problem,” warning that the Broncos’ Super Bowl window may force a tough decision regarding the quarterback position. Early optimism has faded as his recent outings have failed to meet league standards, prompting former players and analysts to question his suitability. With the defense shouldering the load, the team’s overall balance has shifted dramatically from its original game plan.

What to watch next includes any official statements from the Broncos’ coaching staff about the quarterback’s future, potential roster moves such as a trade, release, or benching, and how the defense performs in the upcoming fixtures. Further commentary from former players like Fitzpatrick may surface, and the franchise’s decision will be measured against the ticking clock of its perceived Super Bowl window.
