## Executive Summary
Commanders lose star WR Terry McLaurin to season‑ending torn patellar tendon, sparking roster concerns

## Intelligence Brief
The ESPN report titled the incident “Commanders WR Terry McLaurin has torn patellar tendon, ending his season,” while the NFL.com article used the phrasing “Commanders WR Terry McLaurin out for rest of season with torn patellar tendon.” Both outlets emphasized the definitive nature of the prognosis and the loss to the Commanders’ roster. The timing of the injury, occurring late in the regular schedule, intensifies the challenge for the Commanders as they approach the final stretch of the season. Future coverage is likely to focus on the Commanders’ response, including any official statements from the organization, potential promotions from the practice squad, or trades to fill the vacancy.
