## Executive Summary
Google Cloud reports a European service disruption impacting major banking and court video systems.

## Intelligence Brief
According to coverage from the BBC and The Guardian, the technical failure has directly impacted critical financial services and legal proceedings. Millions of users found themselves unable to access the Revolut application or utilize their payment cards due to a sudden service disruption. Simultaneously, the BBC reports that the underlying Google Cloud outage interfered with court video links and created operational difficulties for various banking institutions. The Guardian and the BBC have driven the current reporting cycle, focusing heavily on the widespread consumer impact and the specific sectors affected by the digital failure.

Coverage from the BBC explicitly highlights the explanation provided by Google Cloud, which attributes the disruptions to a specific power event. Meanwhile, The Guardian emphasizes the scale of the financial disruption, detailing how millions of customers lost access to their accounts, funds, and transaction capabilities during the peak of the incident. This unfolding technical event highlights the deep reliance of modern financial infrastructure and judicial operations on centralized cloud computing networks. While the immediate reporting outlines the widespread nature of the disruption across multiple commercial and public sectors, the coverage does not yet specify the full geographical extent of the power event or provide an estimated timeline for complete service restoration across all affected platforms.

As the situation develops, observers will be tracking further updates from Google Cloud regarding the resolution of the underlying power event. Future reporting is expected to clarify whether all impacted banking services, court video links, and Revolut applications have fully resumed normal operations following the initial disruption.
