## Executive Summary
Fantasy football managers are targeting Jonah Coleman, Omar Cooper Jr., and J.J. McCarthy as primary waiver wire additions heading into Week 8.

## Intelligence Brief
As the 2026 NFL season enters Week 8, fantasy football managers are actively scanning the waiver wire for players to boost their rest-of-season rosters. According to coverage from Yahoo Sports, ESPN, and the Roto Street Journal, several specific players have emerged as high-priority targets. Jonah Coleman is highlighted across multiple outlets, including ESPN and Yahoo Sports, as a top pickup option. Omar Cooper Jr. is also cited by Yahoo Sports and the Roto Street Journal as a key addition. Additionally, the Roto Street Journal identifies J.J. McCarthy as a notable target for managers seeking to improve their lineups during this critical phase of the season. Different sports media outlets are emphasizing various categories of player acquisitions.

NFL.com focuses on a list of the top 15 targets, specifically highlighting rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion as a headline addition for the week. Meanwhile, Sports Illustrated is focusing on 'sleeper adds' that are currently being overlooked by the broader community. CBS Sports is framing these Week 8 additions as a means to strengthen rosters for the remainder of the season, while FantasyPros is providing a comprehensive guide that categorizes players based on whether they should be added, stashed for future use, or dropped entirely from a roster. This trend matters now because the waiver wire serves as the primary mechanism for fantasy managers to replace underperforming players or fill gaps caused by injuries. The inclusion of players like Malik Willis, who is mentioned by ESPN as a leading free agent option, suggests a need for versatility at the quarterback position. The focus on rookie talent, such as KC Concepcion, indicates a shift toward identifying emerging players who may see increased usage as the season progresses. Managers are balancing immediate needs for Week 8 production with long-term strategic stashing to ensure competitive rosters through the playoffs.

Looking forward, the focus will remain on whether these recommended additions, such as Jonah Coleman and Omar Cooper Jr., maintain their performance levels. Coverage will likely track the integration of rookie WR KC Concepcion into his team's offense to see if he justifies his ranking as a top target. Fantasy managers will be monitoring the results of Week 8 games to determine if these sleeper picks mentioned by Sports Illustrated convert into consistent starters. The movement of players like J.J. McCarthy and Malik Willis will be closely watched to see if they secure more playing time in the coming weeks.
