## Executive Summary
McDonald’s has officially reintroduced the McRib sandwich for a limited-time run across select regional markets in the United States.

## Intelligence Brief
McDonald's has announced the return of the McRib, one of its most popular sandwich offerings, for a limited-time release. According to reports from the New York Post and USA Today, the sandwich is returning to menus this week. However, the rollout is not nationwide; instead, the McRib is available only at select locations and in specific cities. Coverage indicates that the availability is fragmented, requiring customers to check specific markets to see if the item is in stock at their local restaurant. Various regional and national outlets are emphasizing the specific geography of the rollout.

Yahoo and the Cincinnati Enquirer are providing guidance on how fans can locate the sandwich within the state of Ohio. Similarly, WFLA is reporting that the return is limited to specific markets within Florida. WUSA9 is also tracking the timing and location of the release, noting that the sandwich will only be available for a limited period. The coverage across these outlets highlights a localized distribution strategy rather than a broad, simultaneous national launch. To understand why this is trending, the coverage from Allrecipes characterizes the McRib as one of the most popular sandwiches the company has ever produced.

The nature of the sandwich's business model involves these recurring, limited-run appearances, which create periodic surges in consumer interest. Because the item is not a permanent fixture of the menu, its return typically generates significant regional news coverage and consumer searches regarding its availability in specific states like Florida and Ohio. Moving forward, the primary focus for consumers and analysts will be tracking the exact expiration of this limited-time offer. As the sandwich is only available in select cities and markets, current coverage suggests that the main point of interest is the discovery of participating locations. There are no stated plans for a permanent return or a full national expansion in the provided reports; therefore, the current focus remains on the specific regional markets and the short duration of the current promotional window.
