## Executive Summary
McDonald’s has confirmed the limited return of the McRib sandwich to select regional markets starting October 27.

## Intelligence Brief
McDonald's has officially announced the return of the McRib, a barbecue-style sandwich, beginning on October 27. This rollout is not a nationwide event but is instead targeted at specific locations. Coverage indicates that the sandwich will be available in selected cities across various regions, marking the latest reappearance of the seasonal menu item. Customers in certain areas can expect to find the BBQ sandwich at their local outlets starting tomorrow. Multiple media outlets are tracking the specific availability of the product.

The Clarion-Ledger has focused its reporting on where the McRib can be found within the state of Mississippi. Similarly, WFLA has highlighted that the return is limited, specifically noting that the sandwich will only be available in certain Florida markets. Yahoo has provided the broader confirmation from McDonald's regarding the October 27 start date for the rollout. This event is significant because the McRib is known for its limited availability, often appearing only in select markets or for short durations rather than as a permanent menu fixture. The strategic use of regional releases creates a pattern of scarcity that draws attention to the brand.

Because it is not available in all locations, reports from local outlets like WFLA and The Clarion-Ledger are essential for consumers attempting to locate the product in the Southern United States. Future developments depend on the specific market lists provided by McDonald's. Observers will be watching to see if the availability expands beyond the currently mentioned Florida and Mississippi markets. While the start date of October 27 is confirmed by Yahoo, coverage does not yet specify the exact duration of this limited release or if additional cities will be added to the distribution list in the coming weeks.
