## Executive Summary
Microsoft grants Arkane Lyon a one-month extension to find a buyer while continuing work on Marvel's Blade.

## Intelligence Brief
The studio now has until mid-December, specifically December 13, 2026, to secure a new home. This development directly impacts the ongoing production of Marvel's Blade, a title currently in development at the studio. The reporting from these diverse gaming and technology publications heavily emphasizes the operational uncertainty surrounding the studio.

According to GameSpot and IGN, the extended deadline gives Arkane Lyon another chance to find a buyer and locate a partner to support the team as it finishes Marvel's Blade. Video Games Chronicle and GamesIndustry.biz similarly frame this window as an official extension of the consultation process enacted by Microsoft. Background context within the coverage indicates that this situation involves high-stakes corporate restructuring and studio management by Xbox and Microsoft.

While the articles document the active search for a buyer and the continuation of development tasks, coverage does not yet specify the full financial terms or the identities of any prospective buyers currently in talks with the studio. Looking ahead, observers and industry participants will monitor whether Arkane Lyon can successfully secure a buyer or supporting partner before the newly established mid-December deadline. As reported by IGN and other participating sources, the ultimate fate of the studio and the completion trajectory of Marvel's Blade remain tied to the outcomes of this ongoing consultation period.
