> **Open Intelligence Dossier** · First detected: 2026-10-26 09:20 UTC · Category: Technology

## Executive Summary
Recent coverage highlights upcoming Windows 11 performance boosts driven by Intel APX support and a RAM overhaul.

## Intelligence Brief
Current reporting outlines major technical updates for Windows 11 involving collaboration between Microsoft and Intel. According to coverage from outlets such as TechPowerUp, Bangkok Post, Analytics Insight, Basic Tutorials, Windows Latest, and Neowin, a performance boost is currently in development for 64-bit systems. Specifically, TechPowerUp and Basic Tutorials report that Intel APX (Advanced Performance Extensions) support has landed in Windows 11 ahead of the upcoming Nova Lake processor launch. Microsoft is testing this new CPU extension aimed at delivering faster performance. Simultaneously, coverage from the Bangkok Post highlights claims from Microsoft that Windows 11 is now twenty percent faster following a comprehensive RAM overhaul.

Additional reporting by Analytics Insight examines various factors that slow down application launches within the operating system, outlining seven distinct reasons. Meanwhile, Windows Latest notes the emergence of a new better performance toggle within the system, though current hardware limitations mean existing personal computers will not be able to utilize this specific feature. The context surrounding these updates focuses on hardware evolution and operating system optimization. The introduction of Intel APX support positions the operating system for future hardware architectures such as Nova Lake. Coverage indicates that Microsoft is actively experimenting with new CPU extensions and memory management enhancements to address historical bottlenecks in application launching speeds.

The appearance of specialized performance toggles further underscores an ongoing push toward hardware-gated optimizations designed for next-generation devices rather than legacy machines. Future developments will depend on the official rollout of the Nova Lake platform and the broader deployment of the tested features. Coverage does not yet specify exact timelines for when the Intel APX support or the twenty percent speed increase will reach all eligible end users. Observers will monitor how Microsoft implements the newly spotted performance toggle and whether hardware restrictions will remain a permanent barrier for older personal computers attempting to access these advanced processing capabilities.
