## Executive Summary
HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series casts James Potter, Lily Potter, and Charlie Weasley.

## Intelligence Brief
Current reporting indicates that HBO is actively moving forward with casting selections for its upcoming television adaptation based on the Harry Potter franchise. Specifically, the production has filled the roles of Harry's parents, James Potter and Lily Potter, alongside the character of Charlie Weasley. According to widespread entertainment industry coverage, these casting announcements mark a notable milestone for the series, which is formally associated with the title Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in reports from major outlets. The initial casting announcements have been heavily detailed across multiple entertainment news organizations.

Outlets including TVLine, Yahoo, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, and Variety have all published reports confirming the addition of these specific characters to the roster. The collective coverage emphasizes the significance of these roles, particularly highlighting that the inclusion of Charlie Weasley represents the character's screen debut, as noted explicitly by Variety in its reporting. While the current news cycle focuses on the addition of these specific family and supporting figures, the broader context involves the highly anticipated development of the multi-season television project itself. The addition of James and Lily Potter connects directly to the foundational backstory of the main protagonist, whereas Charlie Weasley expands the representation of the extensive Weasley family tree within the television format.

As the production continues to assemble its ensemble, audiences and industry observers will be monitoring further announcements regarding additional character castings and production timelines. Existing coverage does not yet specify the exact actors chosen for these newly announced roles, nor does it provide a precise premiere date for the series. Future reporting is expected to disclose the identities of the cast members stepping into these iconic roles as pre-production moves forward under HBO's umbrella.
