Meghan Markle To Co-Host ‘Junior MasterChef Australia’

The former actress and Duchess is set to appear on the program ‘Junior MasterChef Australia’ in the capacity of a guest judge. This development marks a new venture into the culinary competition genre for Markle, placing her in a evaluative role for young contestants on the Australian version of the global franchise. The announcement confirms her participation in the production, though the specific number of episodes or the exact filming schedule remains unspecified in current reports. Coverage of the appointment has been highlighted by Entertainment Weekly and Yahoo. Entertainment Weekly emphasizes the timing of this new professional engagement, noting that it comes only months after the conclusion of Markle's lifestyle series on Netflix.

Yahoo focuses on the selection process and the reception of the casting, quoting the phrase ‘an easy yes’ in relation to tapping Markle for the guest judging position. Both outlets identify the role as a significant return to the screen following the end of her previous streaming project. To understand the context of this move, readers should note the transition in Markle's media portfolio. The coverage explicitly connects this new gig to the recent end of her Netflix lifestyle show, suggesting a shift in the types of content she is producing. By joining a high-profile international competition like ‘Junior MasterChef Australia,’ Markle is moving from a self-branded lifestyle format to an established global brand.

This move represents a diversification of her public appearances and a return to scripted or formatted television environments after her period of lifestyle content creation. Future developments to monitor include the official release date of the episodes featuring Markle and the specific culinary challenges she will oversee. While the current reports establish her role as a guest judge, they do not provide details on her co-hosting duties beyond the judging capacity. Observers will likely look for further announcements regarding her schedule in Australia and whether this guest appearance will lead to more permanent television roles. The industry will be watching to see how the 'Junior MasterChef' audience responds to her presence on the panel.
