## Executive Summary
Paris Hilton's Beauty and the Beast themed family Halloween photoshoot has sparked online backlash regarding the prominence of her children.

## Intelligence Brief
Paris Hilton and her family have shared a themed photoshoot for 2026 Halloween, drawing inspiration from the story of Beauty and the Beast. According to reporting from The Times of India, Hilton dressed up as the character Belle, while her husband, Carter Reum, took on the role of the Beast. The costumes were part of a broader family effort to bring a tale as old as time to life, as detailed in coverage from People.com and Page Six, which both highlighted the fairytale nature of the family's holiday preparations. While some outlets focused on the aesthetic of the costumes, other coverage emphasizes a growing wave of criticism from the public. Yahoo reports that Hilton has been criticized for what some have labeled a diabolical family costume choice.

The core of the backlash involves the roles assigned within the photoshoot; specific critics mentioned in the Yahoo report argue that the children should have been the stars of the event rather than the adults. This sentiment is echoed in a report from Bored Panda, which notes that the photoshoot sparked backlash specifically after fans noticed the inclusion and positioning of her kids. This incident occurs within the context of Hilton's public transition into motherhood and her continued presence in the entertainment spotlight. The coverage from People.com and Page Six suggests that the family intends to lean into highly produced, conceptual themes for their holiday celebrations. The tension highlighted by Yahoo and Bored Panda reflects a broader public discourse regarding the visibility of celebrity children in curated social media content and the perceived priorities of parents during these high-profile photoshoots.

Future developments will likely center on how the Hilton-Reum family responds to the criticisms regarding the roles of their children in the images. Coverage does not yet specify if Paris Hilton or Carter Reum intend to issue a statement regarding the accusations that the costume arrangement was diabolical. Observers will be monitoring for any additional Halloween-related content or clarifications regarding the family's creative choices for the 2026 holiday season as more reactions surface across social platforms.
