## Executive Summary
Ryan Gosling's musical project Dead Man's Bones has ended a 17-year hiatus with the release of a new song and music video titled "Lost In The Night."

## Intelligence Brief
Dead Man's Bones, the musical project featuring Ryan Gosling, has released a new song and accompanying music video. The track is titled "Lost In The Night," and its release marks the first time the group has produced new music in 17 years. The project has officially returned to the music scene, providing fans with their first new material since the band's original activity ended nearly two decades ago. The timing of the release is specifically aligned with the Halloween season. Coverage of this event has been reported by Consequence of Sound, MovieWeb, and Stereogum.

Stereogum explicitly identified the name of the new track as "Lost In The Night," while Consequence of Sound emphasized that the song is now available for streaming. MovieWeb focused on the return of Ryan Gosling to the music medium, highlighting that the release was strategically timed for Halloween. All three outlets are in agreement regarding the duration of the band's absence, noting that it has been 17 years since the project last released music. To understand the significance of this release, readers must note the long period of dormancy associated with Dead Man's Bones. Because the band had not released any new songs for 17 years, the return of Ryan Gosling to this specific project represents a significant gap in the group's discography.

The association with Halloween suggests a thematic continuation of the band's established style or image, though coverage does not specify the exact genre or lyrical content of the new track beyond the title. Looking forward, the available coverage indicates that the primary focus is currently on the streaming of the new song and the viewing of the music video. While the reports confirm the release of "Lost In The Night," they do not mention any upcoming tour dates, full-length albums, or further singles. Future developments will likely center on whether this single is a standalone release for the holiday or the beginning of a more sustained return for Ryan Gosling and Dead Man's Bones.
