## Executive Summary
Apple has introduced a high-capacity Mac Studio featuring 512GB of RAM, with pricing reaching over $22,000.

## Intelligence Brief
Apple has officially revealed the pricing and availability for a new configuration of the Mac Studio. This specific model is powered by the M5 Ultra chip and features a massive 512GB of RAM. According to reporting from MacRumors, the total cost for this high-end machine is $22,299. This represents a significant increase in memory capacity for the desktop line, positioning the device as a specialized tool for extreme workloads. Coverage indicates that the machine is now available for purchase and is currently shipping to customers. Several technology outlets have focused on the steep cost associated with this hardware upgrade.

Notebookcheck reports that the Mac Studio starts at over $22,000 when equipped with the 512GB of RAM. AppleInsider provides a specific breakdown of the pricing structure, noting that the 512GB RAM upgrade alone costs $15,500. Macworld characterizes the pricing of the machine as costing "New Car Money," highlighting the premium nature of the M5 Ultra configuration. Other outlets including 9to5Mac have confirmed that Apple has formally revealed these pricing details to the public. This development is significant because it expands the memory ceiling of the Mac Studio, utilizing the M5 Ultra architecture to support larger datasets and more complex computing tasks. The disparity between the base cost of the machine and the price of the memory upgrade underscores the premium Apple places on its unified memory architecture.

By offering 512GB of RAM, Apple is targeting professional users who require immense memory bandwidth and capacity, moving the Mac Studio into a price bracket typically reserved for high-end enterprise workstations or specialized server hardware. Future attention will likely focus on the actual performance benchmarks of the M5 Ultra when utilizing the full 512GB of RAM. While the pricing and availability have been confirmed by MacRumors and 9to5Mac, coverage does not yet specify the base price of the Mac Studio before the $15,500 memory upgrade is applied. Observers will be monitoring how the market responds to this $22,299 price point and whether other configurations of the M5 Ultra will be released to bridge the gap between standard professional models and this maximum-capacity version.
