According to coverage from The Guardian and 10TV, the victory is being described as a fairytale win for the underdogs. The result has seen Fleetwood advance in the competition while Arsenal suffers an early exit. The victory is characterized by The Guardian as a moment where Fleetwood went their own way to down the Premier League giants, fulfilling what they describe as a Carabao Cup dream for the club. Detailed reporting from Yahoo Sports emphasizes the aftermath of the match, specifically highlighting the reaction of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

The Fleetwood Town boss has opened up regarding Arteta's response following the exit. The Guardian captures the sentiment surrounding the shock result with the phrase, ‘This isn’t supposed to happen,’ reflecting the unexpected nature of the defeat for one of the tournament favorites.
