According to coverage from Yahoo, the news of this new professional venture has specifically hit a nerve with some locals in the region. The reports indicate that the Duchess's move into the Australian media landscape is not being met with universal approval, as certain segments of the public have expressed dissatisfaction or strong opinions regarding her presence in a new TV gig within the country. The reporting on this development is currently centered on a report from Yahoo, which emphasizes the friction emerging between Markle and some Australian residents.

The coverage highlights that the announcement of the role has become a point of contention, focusing on the negative sentiment felt by some locals rather than the specific creative details of the production.
