## Executive Summary
The Miami Dolphins have claimed offensive lineman Christian Haynes off waivers following a chaotic sequence of roster moves and a waiver mix-up.

## Intelligence Brief
The Seattle Seahawks have released offensive lineman Christian Haynes, a player who served as a starter for five games. This move follows what Heavy.com describes as a blockbuster trade. Following his release, Haynes became available on waivers, leading to a sequence of conflicting reports regarding his destination. While initial reports indicated that he would be joining the Baltimore Ravens, the Miami Dolphins ultimately secured the player. The Dolphins' acquisition of Haynes was made possible by their higher waiver priority, as reported by NBC Sports. Coverage of the event highlights a significant administrative confusion.

ProFootballRumors.com initially reported that the Ravens had claimed the guard, but later corrected this to state that the Dolphins, not the Ravens, claimed Christian Haynes. The Baltimore Sun noted that the Ravens missed out on the offensive lineman despite previously announcing his arrival. Seattle Sports specifically characterized the situation as a waiver mix-up that resulted in the former Seahawks player heading to Miami. The Miami Dolphins officially confirmed the transaction as part of a series of roster moves. To facilitate the addition of Haynes to their squad, the Miami Dolphins took corresponding action regarding their own roster. According to Yahoo Sports, the Dolphins released a 2026 draft pick in order to claim the lineman off waivers.

This indicates a strategic decision by Miami to prioritize the immediate addition of an experienced offensive lineman over a future asset. The transition of Haynes from a five-game starter in Seattle to a member of the Dolphins roster underscores the volatility of league roster management during the current window. Observers will now monitor how Haynes integrates into the Miami Dolphins' offensive line rotation. The coverage establishes that the player's movement was dictated by the waiver priority system, which allowed Miami to preempt the Baltimore Ravens. Because the Dolphins had to release a 2026 draft pick to make room, the team's ability to utilize Haynes in their current scheme will be a primary point of focus. Further updates are expected from the Miami Dolphins as they finalize their updated roster following these recent claims and releases.
