## Executive Summary
A decommissioned AI supercomputer featuring 9,600 Nvidia A100 GPUs and 300 racks has been listed on eBay for nearly $60 million.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent technology coverage details an extraordinary hardware listing on the e-commerce platform eBay, where a massive, decommissioned artificial intelligence supercomputer has been put up for sale. Specifically, according to reports from outlets including PC Gamer, Tom's Hardware, VideoCardz.com, FourWeekMBA, Gadget Review, and Mezha.net, an IT vendor identified as Core 4 Solutions has listed a 300-rack AI supercomputer system carrying a price tag of $59.7 million, frequently rounded to $60 million in the reporting. The sprawling hardware cluster includes a staggering inventory of components, comprising almost 10,000 Nvidia A100 graphics processing units—specifically cited as 9,600 units—alongside 4,200 AMD EPYC central processing units, with the listing notably including free shipping.

The widespread coverage emphasizes the sheer scale of the hardware being offered through a consumer platform typically reserved for smaller retail transactions. Outlets such as Tom's Hardware and PC Gamer highlight the unprecedented nature of acquiring a retired enterprise-grade supercomputer directly through an online auction and retail site. Reporting across all five sources uniformly details the exact configuration numbers, pointing to the 300-rack architecture, the precise count of 9,600 Nvidia A100 GPUs, and the accompanying 4,200 AMD EPYC processors. VideoCardz.com and other outlets specifically categorize the system as a decommissioned supercomputer that previously served heavy computational workloads before its appearance on the secondary resale market.

Contextually, this listing arrives as the technology sector continues to navigate intense demand for artificial intelligence hardware, specialized infrastructure, and high-performance computing components. While the sources establish that Core 4 Solutions is the vendor responsible for the eBay offering, current coverage does not yet specify the previous owner of the supercomputer, the exact facility where it operated, or the identity of any prospective buyers currently negotiating for the multi-million-dollar cluster. The availability of such high-end enterprise hardware on a public marketplace illuminates the secondary life cycle of large-scale data center equipment as organizations upgrade their computing clusters.

Observers and potential buyers following the listing will be monitoring the platform to see if the multi-million-dollar auction attracts a viable enterprise purchaser or if the listing is modified. Coverage does not yet indicate whether the 300-rack system will be sold as a complete single unit or if the massive inventory of Nvidia A100 GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs will eventually be parted out. Further updates from technology reporting outlets will track the status of the Core 4 Solutions eBay listing as it remains active on the platform.
