## Executive Summary
Three people are dead following renewed Ukrainian drone strikes that set a major Russian oil refinery ablaze.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent reporting establishes that three individuals have been killed as Ukraine renews its drone strikes targeting Russian oil refineries. Specifically, a major fire broke out at the Kstovo oil refinery in Russia following a drone attack, leaving the facility ablaze after a reported overnight strike. Outlets covering these developments include Українська правда, The Kyiv Independent, The Washington Post, Reuters, and The Moscow Times. Coverage emphasizes the tactical shift and the international political context surrounding the operation.

According to reporting from The Washington Post and Reuters, the renewed strikes occurred despite warnings directed toward Kyiv. Reuters notes that Ukraine had previously paused strikes on Russian refineries following pressure from Trump, as detailed in reports from The Wall Street Journal referenced across the media landscape. This current escalation builds upon a prior pattern of targeted drone attacks against Russian energy infrastructure. While earlier coverage indicated a temporary halt to these operations due to external political pressure, the latest events at the Kstovo facility demonstrate a resumption of the offensive campaign against Russian oil assets, drawing immediate international attention from multiple news organizations.

Future developments will depend on whether additional strikes occur and how political pressures evolve. Coverage does not yet specify the full extent of the structural damage at the Kstovo refinery, the identities of the three individuals killed, or the immediate official responses from governmental authorities regarding the resumption of these cross-border drone operations.
