## Executive Summary
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt has legally dropped the 'Pitt' surname, becoming the fourth child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to do so.

## Intelligence Brief
Vivienne, the 18-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has legally changed her last name to remove 'Pitt'. According to reports from AOL.com and Istituto Impariamo, a California court ruling has officially approved the petition to drop the surname. This legal action marks a formal detachment from her father, whom Page Six describes as an estranged parent. Multiple entertainment outlets are tracking the development, with Page Six framing the move as a final blow to Brad Pitt. People.com provides additional numerical context, noting that Vivienne is the fourth child of the former couple to officially drop the Pitt name.

Other coverage from Just Jared and Yahoo focuses on the legal approval of the petition and the emotional weight of the decision, with Yahoo describing the event as a painful new turn in the ongoing family drama between the two high-profile figures. This legal shift is part of a broader pattern of estrangement between Brad Pitt and several of his children. The background provided by the coverage indicates that this is not an isolated incident, but rather a continuing trend within the family unit. Parade Magazine highlights that Vivienne is now 18, suggesting her legal adulthood played a role in the ability to petition the court for this name change independently. The tension between Jolie and Pitt has remained a subject of public record, and this latest court ruling serves as a concrete manifestation of those fractured relations.

Future attention will likely center on the remaining children of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and whether further petitions for name changes will be filed in court. The coverage established that four children have now moved to distance themselves from the Pitt surname. Observers will be monitoring for responses from the legal representatives of either parent or further statements regarding the family's internal dynamics. For now, the established fact remains that the California court has granted the petition, officially altering Vivienne's legal identity.
