Nagoshi Studio has officially dissolved, closing its doors less than a year after revealing its game Gang of Dragon.

## Intelligence Brief
Recent coverage from outlets including AUTOMATON, YugaTech, 玩具人 TOY PEOPLE, iXBT.games, VGChartz, and Gematsu reports the official closure and dissolution of Nagoshi Studio. According to details sourced from the Japanese government gazette, the studio was officially dissolved as of October 31. The enterprise, led by Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and backed by NetEase Games, has shut its operations down completely. Coverage from 玩具人 TOY PEOPLE notes that this dissolution arrives less than a year after the studio publicly revealed its title, Gang of Dragon. Media reports emphasize the abruptness of the shutdown, connecting the closure directly to NetEase Games as the corporate entity responsible for terminating the studio.

Outlets such as VGChartz explicitly name NetEase Games in the context of the shutdown, while iXBT.games and other publications frame the event around the studio founder's legacy as the creator of the Yakuza franchise. The coverage spans multiple regional gaming and technology news sites, documenting the official confirmation found within the Japanese government gazette rather than relying solely on corporate press releases. Context provided across the reporting highlights that Nagoshi Studio was established as a high-profile developer under the leadership of Toshihiro Nagoshi following his departure from Sega. The studio had garnered significant industry attention due to its association with the veteran game creator and its financial backing by major Chinese gaming conglomerate NetEase Games. The timing of the dissolution, occurring shortly after the public presentation of Gang of Dragon, adds critical context to the unexpected conclusion of the studio's operations, though current coverage does not yet specify the precise operational factors leading to the closure.

As the story develops, observers and industry followers will be tracking further announcements from NetEase Games regarding the intellectual property associated with the studio, specifically the future status of Gang of Dragon. Coverage does not yet specify whether the game will be cancelled outright, transferred to another internal team, or handled through other corporate restructuring measures. Stakeholders are also monitoring whether Toshihiro Nagoshi or other key personnel have made public statements about their next professional steps following the official dissolution recorded in the Japanese government gazette.
